Food Safety Training
Com2 Catering training is taught by accredited and experienced trainers, using a combination of interactive exercises and discussions, and is supported by a course handbook for all participants. Both levels are assessed by a 30 minute multiple-choice test at the end of the day. We train groups between 5-10 people, and training is available either in-house or at our offices.

Course Title: Level 1 Award in Food Safety in Catering
Accredited by: Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
Course overview: Introduction to the basic principles of food safety and hygiene. Valid for 3 years.
Who’s the course for? Catering trainees,washing up staff, occupational therapists, care staff, project workers, nurses and ward support staff.
Duration: 4.5 hours.
Course Title: Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
Accredited by: Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
Course overview: Course covering industry standards in food safety and hygiene, through to Government legal training requirements. Valid for 3 years.
Includes: Food safety terminology, food safety laws, food safety hazards, temperatures, refrigeration, chilling and cold holding of foods, cooking, hot holding and re-heating of foods, food handlers, principles of food storage, Cleaning, food premises and equipment.
Who’s the course for? Anyone working in the Food and Drink industry. Eg. Cooks, chefs and supervisors.
Duration: 8 hrs
QCF Catering Training
– only available through Com2 Catering contracts

Course overview: Introduction to hospitality and cookery.
Who’s the course for? Anyone who wants to work within the catering industry eg. catering assistant.
Course Title: Diploma in Professional Cookery Level 2. QCF 7100
Who’s the course for? You have some basic skills and experience as a chef, probably from a role where you work under supervision. You want to gain a formal qualification and increase your skills so that you can take on a more senior role.
